On behalf of the Botwood Collegiate graduating class of 2005, we are sending to the family, friends, and loved ones of Natasha, a heartfelt and saddened feeling of remorse and loss. This was a tragic and untimely event and we felt it necessary to give Natasha a proper and honourable goodbye from her peers and closest friends, the people who she grew up with. We were not just a class of people sharing the same grade, but a class of unity and togetherness, a bond that separation or death can ever break.
It was only less than a year ago that we as a graduating class were preparing for the biggest moment and step of our lives. It was a time that we will never forget. We, for the first time were all mixed in the same emotions of excitement for grad and the sadness of saying good-bye to life long friends. Once again, we are in this same feeling of emotions, however they are not of excitement. We are coming together stronger that ever, even though we may be separated by schooling, jobs and towns, we are all suffering from this event. The only things we can do are to be strong and pray for her safe journey home. Faith will keep us positive in this moment and Love will keep us close to one another. From her death, we take an important lesson. Life is far too precious to waste it away on fighting and negativity. We need to take from this a new outlook on life and not take each other for granted or push the ones we love away. We need to come together as a community and love each other, support each other, and to be just like Natasha’s graduating class of 2005, and that is simply unbreakable. It was because of people like Natasha that our graduating class is the most remembered, and loved, and unique class of all. She brought with her an attitude of determination, and strength, that for us was the motivation that kept this grade shining and focused on every person’s authenticity.
So we will not say GOODBYE to her today because those words are too final. We will see you again Natasha, we’re not sure when, but until then we will simple say SEE YOU LATER. We will never forget you, but when we glance through our Yearbooks and come across your glowing smile we will remember why this graduating class was so special.
To a loving sister, amazing daughter, and a beautiful friend, Natasha, you were a DIAMOND among many JEMS. We will love you and miss you always. Rest In Peace and Sleep. You're in God's hands.
God Bless,
From the graduating class of 2005
